"Description of item"
The AXIS-1 was the originator of the later "AX series" shoulder keyboard of the same company, and it was compatible with MIDI, which was just specified at the time.
"Basic specifications"
45-key standard scale keyboard with initial and after touch. The controller part is 3.5kg, a lightweight MIDI controller that you can use by holding it from your shoulder (→ no sound source is built-in). Regarding tone changes, you can send out 120 types of program change information from 0 to 119, and of course the pitch bender, modulation wheel, key transpose button etc. are all basic equipment as a shoulder keyboard I have it.
The main feature of this unit is that it is divided into a controller (keyboard unit) and a power supply (power supply unit). Connect the attached (dedicated) cable from the controller to the power supply unit.
"Power supply unit"
A unit that acts as a bridge between the controller and MIDI sound source device. You will need to connect a MIDI cable from this power supply unit to the MIDI sound generator. This unit also has a "remote switch pedal". This pedal has a hold function by default, and the sound is held only while the pedal is depressed.
"About the left hand controller"
There is a modulation ON / OFF switch at the tip of the so-called rod, and the part that hits the left hand grip is the pitch bender (wheel), the modulation wheel, and the master volume wheel. The pitch bender that you often use while playing is that you push it up to raise it, and lower it to lower it, which is similar to the choking of a guitar.
The pitch bender is fixed, but the functions of the modulation wheel and master volume wheel can also be changed.
* I didn't use it at all because I received it a few years ago. It is stored in a soft case at home, and since it was not opened, the overall condition is beautiful and it doesn't feel much to the eye.
I tried to check it by myself to see if there was sound, but I could not confirm because I could not find the cable connecting the controller to the power supply.
