Vintage New York World's Fair Dish Featuring The Unisphere United States Steel. Condition is "Used".
This is for a collectable, plastic New York world's Fair dish featuring The unisphere.
Below is written "Peace Through Understanding", a pretty timeless message.
The bottom of the bowl is copy written 1961 and stamped United States steel.
This dish has some pitting and chipping due to age which I've tried to highlight in pictures 6 and 7, but is otherwise complete and the marring doesn't detract from the overall look of the piece
World's fairs produced all sorts of souvenirs but there aren't a ton of this particular piece.
If you're looking for a bit of History with the nice pop of color then this dish may just suffice.
