Kamala Harris Campaign Trolls Trump on Truth Social with Fox News Clip

Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign took a jab at former president and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump when sharing a clip by Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto regarding Trump’s debate performance.
Trump faced Harris, the vice president and Democratic presidential nominee, in the first televised debate between the two candidates on Tuesday night in Philadelphia. The debate was hosted by ABC News, and the candidates tackled questions about the economy, immigration, abortion, race, Israel and Ukraine.
Afterward, the performance of each candidate was assessed nationwide as experts and voters alike discussed who won the debate.
In one news clip by Fox News, anchor Neil Cavuto alleges that Trump “decisively lost” the debate, considering the former president’s seasoned six-debate history prior to facing off against Harris. Harris’ campaign reshared the news clip on Truth Social, Trump’s social media website, and tagged Trump in the post.
“Fox host: @realdonaldtrump decisively lost the debate,” the post said.
However, a Trump spokesperson said that the post makes it clear the vice president’s campaign is “desperate.”
“The Kamala campaign is so desperate and clearly feeling from the political whooping they received at the debate,” Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung told Newsweek. “Instead, they should go back to the drawing board and advise their candidate on doing something other than rubbing her chin.”
Trump had previously criticized Cavuto in a post after the anchor made the comment about his debate performance.
“Neil Cavuto, Fox’s Lowest Rated Anchor, is one of the WORST on Television. I actually prefer the losers at CNN and MSDNC!” Trump posted.
Trump also shared other posts alleging that Trump won the debate, including comments from Fox News contributor Charlie Hurt.
“She lost the debate last night! She lost it because the onus is completely on her. She’s the one that one third of the American Population said they don’t know where she stands on things, they don’t know enough about her to support her, or make a decision about her, so the onus is entirely on her to make the case as to why people should trust her, and she failed to do it last night! Charlie Hurt, Fox News Contributor,” the post said.
In the days following the debate, Harris has maintained her lead over Trump, according to polls taken this week.
A new survey conducted by Red Eagle Politics as well as SoCal Strategies and On Point Politics shows that Harris is 3 points ahead of Trump, on 48 percent to his 45 percent, Newsweek previously reported. It questioned 719 likely voters nationally and had a margin of error of +/-3.7 percent.
The poll, conducted between September 10 and 11, was one of the first since Harris and Trump took part in a debate on Tuesday night in Philadelphia.
Another poll, conducted by Leger and the New York Post in the same timeframe, also put Harris 3 points ahead of Trump after the debate, on 50 percent to his 47 percent. It surveyed 1,174 likely voters and had a margin of error of +/- 2.72 percentage points.
